The Everyball Tennis Academy (EBTA) 'Aspire To Excel' Training Camps are led by Mike James, founder and director of EBTA.
Mike is an LTA Level 5 Master Performance Coach and Performance Coach Education tutor. Mike has over 30 years experience in working in junior competitive tennis and has developed many top ranked players right through to grand slam level. The 'Everyball Way' is Mike's inspirational tennis philosophy and coaching methodology that he brings this to life in these intensive camps for junior competitive players, which he leads personally alongside members of the Everyball Performance Coaching team including our S&C specialists. The Everyball values & behaviours of Respect, Responsibility, Reflection and Resilience are seamlessly worked into all our activities helping players develop the confidence and belief in their ability to rise to any challenge, regardless of the outcome. Physical conditioning is also a key element within the training day, and sessions are seamlessly woven in with one or two more extreme challenges such as 'the hill!' and further team building and mental resilience training.
The EBTA Excel Training camps are held at Halton Tennis Centre, Buckinghamshire and have opportunities to access superb indoor and outdoor courts (acrylic and artificial clay), gym, conference room, extensive grounds and clubhouse.
Camps are designed specifically for junior players aspiring to excel at the sport and already competing consistently (County/Regional/National level and/or TE/ITF) at the following age-groups:
- 8&U - full morning (only)
- 10&U - full day
- 14&U - full day
- 18&U - full day
- 1 day intensive and 2 or 3 day residential* camps are on offer with accommodation on-site at Halton Tennis Centre in a tented athletes village. Click on this link to get a feel of the camp vibe!
*Residential camps are summer only. While is it not compulsory, the overnight stays represent a significant part of the camp experience, building of the 4 R's, as well as camaraderie and teamwork, and is therefore encouraged. Mike oversees the overnight stays alongside a female chaperone. Bathroom/shower and changing facilities at the club will be open throughout the night and in case of any emergencies Halton Tennis Centre's live-in caretaker, racket stringer and coach, Alan Hutcherson, is on hand.
Players train in age and stage appropriate groups throughout the day. High coach to player ratios under Mike's direction throughout the day ensure the highest possible standards and individual attention is upheld.
